Dr. Ronald Ritz, M.D.

Dr. Ritz’s approach to medicine has always been simple and straightforward; to take excellent care of his patients.  In his skilled, compassionate, down to earth, yet highly professional way, he does this with each patient, every day.

Prior to moving to Durango, Dr. Ritz, had one of the busiest and most successful practices in Los Angeles, California. In his quest to stay true to his principles and fundamental motivations, he relocated to Durango to offer his surgical skills to a smaller community, and enjoy a lifestyle closer to the earth.

Aside from his broad range of experience in surgical technique here in the U.S., Dr. Ritz has practiced extensively in various remote locations around the globe.  His investment in World Medicine and International Surgical Good Will, has enabled him to work with and train many other surgeons in conditions where the need is great. This has allowed him to offer greater depth of empathetic patient care to those he treats here at home.
